Baker Botts L.L.P. Selects Entegrata’s Data Lakehouse Platform as Cornerstone of Enterprise Data Strategy

Entegrata today announced Baker Botts L.L.P. as its twentieth customer and the tenth Am Law 200 firm signed in 2026. The firm selected Entegrata’s data lakehouse platform as the cornerstone of its enterprise data strategy. The engagement will centralize and structure data from across the firm’s systems, creating a foundation designed to enrich Baker Botts’ entire technology stack and unlock new capabilities in reporting, integrations, and artificial intelligence.

The selection followed a firmwide data strategy consulting engagement in which Baker Botts assessed its existing data landscape, defined its long-term objectives, and rigorously evaluated whether to build a custom data platform internally or partner with a purpose-built solution. After weighing both paths, the firm concluded that Entegrata’s Azure lakehouse platform, designed exclusively for law firms, offered the fastest, most cost effective, and most sustainable route to meet the firm’s short- and long-term goals.

"When we looked at what it would take to build and maintain a custom lakehouse, the connectors, the legal data model, the ethical walls, the ongoing upkeep, it became clear that Entegrata had already solved problems that would have taken us years on our own,” said Rick Boulin, Chief Information Officer at Baker Botts. “This isn't just a data project; it's a resource and infrastructure decision. Every piece of data infrastructure we would have built in-house is time and talent taken away from delivering new capabilities for our firm and clients. Entegrata lets us focus on what we do with the data rather than how we move it around."

The initiative goes beyond traditional reporting. By centralizing and standardizing its data, Baker Botts is positioning the lakehouse as an integration hub, a mechanism to feed clean, consistent data back into the firm’s existing systems and any new tools it deploys. The result is a technology ecosystem where every application draws from the same trusted foundation, and where AI initiatives can be built on data that is accurate, governed, and ready to deliver reliable insights.

Baker Botts’ investment reflects a growing recognition among leading law firms that data infrastructure is a strategic asset, and that firms investing in the quality of their data today are best positioned for what comes next.
