Power BI Engineering Lead

About Entegrata

Entegrata is a fast-growing startup transforming how the legal industry works with data. We design and deliver Azure-based data lakehouses purpose-built for law firms, enabling them to turn complex operational, financial, and matter data into reliable, decision-grade insights.

We are expanding our Power BI engineering capability to meet growing client demand and raise the bar on how legal analytics is built, governed, and delivered.

Job Description:
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can own Power BI delivery end to end inside a cloud-native SaaS analytics platform. You will work closely with Entegrata’s BI Architect, platform & data engineers, product leadership, and Customer Success teams to design scalable data models and visualizations that translate complex legal data into clear, actionable insights.

2) Data Modeling and Analytics Architecture

  • In conjunction with our BI Architect, design and maintain scalable semantic models.

  • Establish and manage data relationships across multiple legal data sources to support consistent, accurate reporting.

  • Conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping to ensure reliable and well-structured analytics.

  • Ensure models are optimized for performance, end user understanding and usability, and maintainability.

3) Power BI Solution Development

  • Lead the development and maintenance of Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps used by law firm leadership and operations teams.

  • Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, decision-oriented visualizations.

  • Implement Power BI security best practices, including row-level security and role-based access.

  • Ensure Power BI solutions meet enterprise expectations for reliability, accuracy, and usability.

4) Azure and Cloud Analytics Collaboration

  • Work within Entegrata’s Azure-based lakehouse environment, integrating Power BI with upstream data pipelines and services.

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure clean handoffs between ingestion, modeling, and visualization layers.

  • Stay current with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure analytics capabilities and evaluate when new features should be adopted.

5) Governance, Quality, and Trust

  • Support data governance, data quality, and compliance expectations specific to legal analytics.

  • Help define what “good” looks like for BI in a risk-aware environment like law firms.

  • Ensure analytics outputs are consistent, auditable, and suitable for executive and client-facing use.

What Success Looks Like (First 6 to 12 Months)

  • Power BI development follows clear standards that scale across clients and use cases.
