We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate well acquainted with the legal data ecosystem, is a SQL expert and ready to learn the Azure data platform.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-faceted self-starter who wants to help reimagine the way that law firms engage with data. As a Data Engineer with Entegrata, you will hit the ground running to build new data pipelines and analytical solutions for our product.
Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and evolve large and complex SQL scripts, transforming data to deliver robust and well-defined metrics.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions leveraging strong business acumen.
Expose data to end users through platforms such as Power BI, Azure API Apps, or other modern visualization platforms.
Design and build modern data pipelines and data streams.
Analyze current business practices, processes, and procedures to identify future opportunities for leveraging data in the legal sector.
Develop and maintain data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures, and both relational and non-relational databases for data access and advanced analytics.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm or a legal systems integration company.
Knowledge of core legal business applications such as Elite 3E, Aderant Expert, iManage, NetDocuments, Intapp, Iridium, BigSquare, Foundation, Interaction, Vuture, HRIS systems, viDesktop, Compulaw, Manzama feeds, etc.
Expert level proficiency in SQL and schema design/development.
Strong experience in data transformation using ETL/ELT tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
Familiarity with Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, SQL Server DB; experience with Azure HDInsight, Azure Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics is a plus.
Industry experience in master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data modeling.
Proficiency with Python or PySpark.
Proficiency in data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of data flows.
Experience with data catalog tools, data ingestion, data cleaning/matching, data streaming, pipeline development, and orchestration tools.
Advanced understanding of data architecture, data quality management, and dimensional data modeling.
